On Saturday, 24 October, CSU East Bay will be hosting Preview Day. Preview Day is similar to Al Fresco, but is put on for prospective students as opposed to currently enrolled students. Like Al Fresco, all the departments, university resources, clubs and organizations will be present. Additionally there will be information sessions and tours of the campus. A more comprehensive schedule will be released soon.
This is an excellent opportunity for outreach to Veterans out there who may not yet have a clear direction or plan for their civilian life, and don't know about the great opportunity that VA Education Benefits offers them.
Its one thing for Veterans to hear about this from the VA, or other Veterans resources, its quite another thing to hear about it from people just like themselves, who are actually taking advantage of the benefits, and can talk to them about what its like as a Veteran in an academic setting.
So if you know any Veterans or Veterans Dependants who fit that bill, please encourage them to come to Preview Day. If you are interested in staffing Preview Day with us, please let us know by email.
